There is a RainmeterTV demonstration channel already set up on Livestream you can use to see the capabilities of this theme.
You need at least ONE camera, video source or camera emulator.
Any of the following will act as a camera or desktop capture camera emulator:
- a webcam
- a desktop capture webcam emulator (Superwebcam) or (ManyCam) *1
- a camcorder with a Firewire output and a Firewire input on your PC
- a camcorder or other video connected through a USB capture device (Dazzle)
- a video card that supports windows direct show and has video inputs (ATI All-in-wonder)
*1 Note: with a camera emulator, you can capture an area of the desktop, or show a video you recorded and loaded on your PC.
REQUIRED SOFTWARE
In addition to a camera or camera emulator, you WILL need to install the following software,
- RainMeter from www.rainmeter.net.
- You must have Flash installed. If you can view videos on YouTube, then you have Flash.
Some features require Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder 3. (FMLE3) installed. You can get it for free here.
You can still broadcast on the channel using Webcaster or Studio from Livestream without installing FMLE3, but not all features of studio will work.

If you use multiple computers for your shows, you can coordinate operations of the cameras over the web. This requires dropbox, available here:
With any of the above, Studio1 works on XP, Vista and Windows 7
Simply click the button next to "START webcam-LIVE-demo" and your video will show up for everyone to see.
To encode the video you need Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder 3. (FMLE3) installed. You can get it for free here.
