Customizing for your channel.

To encode the video you need Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder 3. (FMLE3) installed. You can get it for free here.

Right out of the box, you can view the demo channel at RainmeterTV.blogspot.com then broadcast LIVE on the channel.
To configure the Studio1 desktop, there are five variables you must edit:

  • CAM
  • SHOW
  • TYPE
  • CHANNEL
  • USER
  • PSW



; #CAM#
; EXAMPLE: webcam
; Can be anything used to identify which camera you will use. (No spaces or plus signs.)
; Other sugested cameras are: SonyCamcorder, ScreenCapture, CAMERA-1, Host, Visitor or Closeup
; For a single computer with more than one camera, !!! EACH CAMERA MUST HAVE A DIFFERENT NAME !!!

; EXAMPLE: demo
; A show name helps to identify the exact configuration of the stream.
; You can use anything to identify the show,
; Other sugested show names are; Studio (a FMLE profile with a quality stream used where there is plenty of bandwidth.)
; Simulcast (a FMLE profile that streams to two Livestream channels at the same time.)
; SportEvent (a FMLE profile that streams at a better frame rate, but lower quality.)
; Remote ( a FMLE profile that uses a lower quality and frame rate in order to use a G3 card.)

; EXAMPLE: LIVE
; The type must equal "LIVE", "SIMULCAST", "CUE" or "RECORD".

; EXAMPLE: RainmeterTV
; The name of the channel you set up at www.Livestream.com.

; EXAMPLE: RainmeterGuest
; This is the livestream user name for a guest camera operator. You must have a user accout at livestream with this name.
; ... and, this user name must be either the owner of the channel, or, a camera operator of the channel.

; This must be the password for the Livestream user, (It does NOT have to be the password for channel OWNER.
; A channel has one OWNER and as many MEMBERS as needed.
; Each owner, and member, has a user name and password.
; The channel owner can add members, and then restrict some users so that they can not start or stop a live broadcast. Restricted users are called Camera operators, not show producers.
; All members set up their own user accounts and passwords. The channel owner can then add them and decide if they are show producers on the channel or just camera operators.
; NOTE: Channel Owners manage the channel members by going to www.livestream.com/studio, loging in with the channel Owner User ID and password then clicking the Configuration-manage team tabs.
